About The Foundation
The Pembroke Hamilton Club Foundation (the Foundation), established in 2004 and receiving its registration as a Bermuda charity in 2005, is dedicated to its primary mission of supporting the educational aspirations of young Bermudians as they excel on the athletic field, in the classroom, and in society. The Foundation assists deserving and qualified individuals with their educational financial needs, fostering the development of future leaders in the community.
Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded almost $400,000 in scholarships to approximately 135 recipients attending over 30 boarding schools, prep schools, colleges, and universities. The foundation offers financial assistance to active members of PHC’s programmes who have been involved for at least four consecutive years, hold Bermudian status, and are pursuing higher education at approved institutions, including Bermuda College. Applicants must present clearly identified goals and career paths and possess a minimum grade point average. Scholarships, granted annually, can reach up to $10,000 per recipient to cover tuition, living expenses, and literature. The scholarship programme is funded through corporate and personal donations, with several donors having supported the Foundation since its inception.
The Foundation partners with the Pembroke Hamilton Club on several other meaningful projects each year, which has included support with events such as resume workshops, coaching certifications, CPR training, SCARS training, and the Good Friday Community Day, amongst others.
The organisation is led by a dedicated team including President Mark Simons, Vice-President Raymon Glasford, Treasurer Marquel Waldron, Secretary O’Shandah Ming, and committee members Kevin Warner, Robert Richardson, and Tawana Fox.
